I live in a small town in the North-West of Flanders, Belgium. I study in Leuven, a larger city that is known for it's university. It was founded in the 15th century and all of the buildings are scattered troughout the city. So there is no real campus and everywhere you see students. There are 30 000 of us (!). Since it's too far for me to commute, I rent a small room there. We have no such things as dorms, so most students hire rooms from enterprises or people. It's quite profitable... What we pay for one room is about half of what you pay for a reasonable house or a 3 bedroom apartment sometwhere else. Anyway, every week I go home. I work weekends in a butchery (in a supermarket) so I always go home friday evening. It's very interesting to see people cram together in a small space with total strangers for a few hours :). Interestingly you can tell a lot about their character. And I will talk about that later. I digress. Mostly coz I like that. Anyway, I made this during the trainride. 
I'll use it to replace a bad panel in one of my comics. But the art itself will also be available in my photobucket sketchbook. (it's named Daronac) |

Well, i got myself a livejournal... I guess i'll introduce myself and explain why i got one. I'm a student from Belgium and i make a webcomic! The address is www.lexaeterna.net or www.lexaeterna.info. Basically it's about a girl and her friends. One of those friends being her self that became independant and free when the girl, named Alex (short for Alexis) had an Aha-erlebenis. (something suddenly became clear and she experienced a pure consciensness and freedom) Another friend of hers is a mysterious demon-like boy who's exceptionally mild mannered for a hellspawn.
I draw this comic because I feel like it, it's the one thing i can do that I can honestly call a hobby. Other things I do are youth-politics and study and work weekends in my butchery, and they always feel like, or even are work.
I started this livejournal simply because Ilike to talk about my comic and myself. The blog on the site itself limits me a bit so, livejournal it is! |
